14. Editing Designs – Other Content

Canva gives us access to other forms of content. And to find it, we’re going to go to add in elements from third parties.
For example, we can add in an embed. So, if we have in the embed code from any of the services, we can embed something into this area. We can add in a Ted Talk. And what we’re going to do here is we’re going to add in the Ted Talk link here in this area, and we’ll then click “Add to Design”. And you’ll see then that our Ted talk is then added.
And you’ll see all of the elements, everything from SoundCloud to Twitter and then Facebook. And you’ll see here that we have links where we can add in our emojis, we can add in specific Facebook photos, we can add in specific Instagram photos. or even photos from our Dropbox. We can add YouTube videos as well as sites from GIPHY. You have an extra element that you can use to add content to customize your design.

- Delete Existing Content:
– Open your design in Canva and click on the element you want to delete.
– A toolbar will appear at the top of the screen. Click on the “Delete” button to remove the selected element from your design.

– To access third-party elements such as embed codes, Ted Talks, SoundCloud, Twitter, Facebook, emojis, specific social media photos, YouTube videos, and GIPHY content, click on the “More” tab on the left sidebar.
– Scroll down until you find the specific content element you want to incorporate into your design and click on it.
- Incorporating Third-Party Elements:
– For Embed Codes: Click on the “Embed” option, paste the embed code into the designated box, and click “Embed” to add it to your design.
– For Ted Talks, SoundCloud, Twitter, Facebook, emojis, specific social media photos, YouTube videos, and GIPHY content, simply click on the respective element and follow the on-screen instructions to insert them into your design.
